Two years ago I was waking up on the 22nd of October in an amazing smell of croissant and coffee…in my very first morning in Paris.

After having spent a night (wondering why the f**k did I ever decide to leave those amazing people back, the ones calling me from home, the ones that brought me to the airport, the ones calling and texting to ckech if I was ok….) in my then-to-be-new flat in the city I fell in love with very very soon, ma Karine woke me up for breakfast. The room was full with flowers, with some of her friends, because it was a special day. Besides the fact that it was my very first day in Paris. It was her birthday.

Last year this very same day I was sitting in the meeting room in Alcatel-Lucent’s HQ office on the 5th floor, planning my Scandinavia Trip, calling Karin and singing happy birthday over the phone….dreaming about having one of what has become best trips to remember Copenhagen – Oslo – Stockholm- Uppsala- Paris….

This year, on this very same 22nd of October 2008 am sitting in my new office, thinking about added values of my work whilr trying to sole day-to-day stuff…while somewhere in Stockholm, my friend from Paris is celebrating her birthday today. Happy birthday Karine! Parisienne Karine!

22nd of October 2009? ……..

And a small present pour toi, pour l’anniversaire!

Manifesto social y politico!

More and more people in Romania start showing good taste in music, and at least slight interest in world issues. More and more people (and !!! not necesarily young ones) go to concerts like Leonard Cohen, Thievery Corporation …and soon to come Koop, Nouvelle Vague etc.

Thievery Corporation was amazing! Un verdadero manifesto social y politico. A “gathering” of 13 musicians from all over America, with flavours and great voices from Brazil, Iran, Argentina,Guyana……impressive. I’ve danced like crazy, loved the sound of the saxophone, the lyrics in french, spanish and portuguese…

Enjoy!

Just what I needed this morning….it’s funny somehow how in a very short time you manage to develop a very close connection to someone you’ve never met before, when being brought by chance to live togehter…and then, Bucharest vs Stockholm seems only seconds away 🙂

“Stop comparing yourself to other girls, no matter how pretty, clever, cool or cashed-up they are.

No one will ever have your unique twist of talents, perspectives or beauty.

You do enough. You have enough. You are enough.

Stop comparing yourself to other girls, no matter how talented, well-dressed, popular or capable they are.

You improve the world more than you can possibly comprehend, just by being true to who you are every day.

Go outside & be fabulous. Watching who you are, & seeing what you’re becoming, makes us so proud to know you. The world delights in your presence. ”

You’ve made my day! Takk et a plus!
